Kurt Rawlins

While attending Illinois State University, Kurt Rawlins managed to play drums in a touring band while getting his degree in Physical Education.  After college, he began personal training in 2005 in a small studio in his hometown of Normal, Illinois.  Once he moved to Chicago in 2006, he knew he had come to a place where he could live his dream of running a fitness business. 

As a young 25-year-old, he got his first ever training job in a small studio in downtown Chicago. His very first client was a woman in her 50s – Jan. Jan was a very sweet woman and they immediately built a great rapport. She had very specific goals – she wanted to lose about 40 lbs. and get stronger. Although she was very active when she was younger, she was now having trouble getting around, had low energy, and her joints hurt from the extra weight. After about 6 months, she managed to lose all 40 lbs. – and to her surprise she got much stronger on his program. He taught her not to be afraid of lifting heavier weights – he knew they would make the biggest difference not just in strength – but in her physique. She looked completely different, had more energy – and changed her life forever. Jan was the first of many women he would train. As a trainer – he was hooked. He absolutely LOVED helping women make these awesome changes in their lives. He learned women, in general, were better listeners and more eager to learn than men. But, unfortunately, women also often fell prey to the ridiculous myths that were pervasive in the industry. Beliefs like lifting heavy will make you bulky, you have to train 6 to 7 days per week to get results – or you HAVE to do cardio to lose fat. He LOVED dispelling these myths and showing women how to lift, how to get strong, and still be able to eat the foods they love without cardio. But…most importantly…women got RESULTS on his programs.

He ran his own in-person training business from 2009-2022 in the River North neighborhood of Chicago - serving over 1300 clients during that time. He regularly had 80+ clients at one time and a full-time coach doing most of the training sessions. It was there he found his passion - helping women shed fat, tone up and become the best version of themselves.

In October of 2022, he took his business 100% online and hasn't looked back. He still helps women achieve their goals - but now they live everywhere around the world. He's had clients in England, Ireland, France, Germany, India, Australia, Panama, Mexico, Canada, Turkey, The Phillipines, Japan and many other countries.

A reformed party-animal, Kurt is a passionate fitness entrepreneur, speaker, writer and coach. He holds a BS in Physical Education from Illinois State University. He has held certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine as well as the International Society of Sports Nutrition.  He is currently a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
